Grief and loss are subjects very dear to Jesse's heart and she has spent a great deal of time over the years exploring her own experiences of loss. Wishing to further devote herself to others, she has completed a significant amount of professional training in this area, is continuing on this journey of learning, and would like to use her time and energy to better serve others. She also feels deeply passionate about the socio-cultural expectations and oppression around grief, especially in our Western culture, and wants to do all she can to help shift the world into a place of understanding, support, and compassion around grief.
Jesse completed her training in Creative Grief Support in June 2018, and is currently in the certification assessment process. At the moment she is a 'Creative Grief Coach in training' and soon will be able to lead grief support workshops and groups, as well as offer one-on-one sessions with clients.
She has also been a certified Grief Recovery Specialist in the Grief Recovery Method since August 2017 and is able to lead these support groups on general loss, pet loss, or helping adults understand how to help grieving children. She is also able to support in private sessions. Support groups are generally 4 weeks long, meeting twice a week with minimal homework, though vary by topic. Please be in touch with questions.
